I started Skin Care Conflict after a frustrating — and honestly embarrassing — experience.

A few years back, I was spending a small fortune on serums, retinols, and acids, layering everything on at once because more is better, right? Then my skin started purging, burning, and peeling in ways that had nothing to do with "the process." A dermatologist friend finally sat me down and explained what I'd been doing wrong: some of my favourite ingredients were chemically fighting each other every single night.

That conversation changed everything. I started obsessively researching ingredient interactions, pH levels, and layering science. The more I dug in, the more I realised how much conflicting information existed online — some of it dangerously wrong. So I built the tool I wished had existed when I started: a simple, science-backed checker that tells you whether your ingredients are friends or enemies.
